December 25 Old Year's Day............. 7:00 PM.......... December 31 The Sacraments: The sacrament of Baptism is administered by decision of the elders. Most frequently it is the baptism of an infant, whose parents make request of the elders. The sacrament of the Lord's Supper is administered in the calendar year 2005 on February 6, March 25 (Good Friday), June 5, August 7, October 2, and December 4. Believing that the Lord would have His Table guarded, those non-members who wish to partake with the congregation must request permission of the elders to partake. Catechism Classes: The youth of the congregation are taught Bible stories and Bible doctrine. The catechism season runs from the middle of September through early April. Grades 1-3................Wednesdays, 3:00 PM............Bible Stories for Beginners Grades 4,5................Wednesdays, 3:45 PM............Bible Stories for Juniors Grades 6,7................Wednesdays, 4:30 PM............Bible Stories for Seniors Grades 8,9................Mondays, 7:00 PM.................Heidelberg Catechism Grades 10,11............Mondays, 8:00 PM.................Essentials of Reformed Doctrine Grades 12 & Up.......Mondays, 9:00 PM.................Creeds Sunday School: Sunday School takes place during June, July, and August on Sunday mornings at 11:00 AM. The classes are provided for children from pre-school through 8th grade. Bible Studies and Groups: Every Wednesday night there is a Bible Study conducted at 7:30 PM. Everyone is welcome to attend. Ladies gather to study together on Tuesday mornings at 9:45 AM. Nursery is provided. Presently they are studying the book "Homeward Bound." A Men's Bible Study takes place on Friday mornings at 6:30 AM at Jerry's Country Inn in Hudsonville. Currently the Book of Acts is being studied. Young People of high school age study together on Sunday mornings at 11:00 AM. At various times during the year they organize activities of fun and service. Young Adults of college age meet together on announced dates after the Sunday evening worship service. Various appropriate topics are discussed in the light of God's Word. Choir: The love to praise God in song brings together a number of our members who sing together under the leadership of Mr. Jerry Kuiper. At various times during the year the choir presents special programs. |
